Body Composition and Cellular Health Analysis
Get to know your body better
How Can You Achieve Vitality, Longevity and Healthy Ageing?
In the clinic, I use a scientifically validated test known as Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA), which assists me to design a program specifically for your needs – using personalised dietary and lifestyle advice, and targeted nutritional supplements to give your body the building blocks for maximum health and energy.
What Is Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA)?
BIA has been used for monitoring patients in hospital and research settings since the 1980’s. I use a BIA device that is a registered medical device called Quadscan. The test is completed in a matter of minutes and is painless - leads are connected to your hands and feet, and low voltage electrical currents are passed through your body. This provides me with your body composition measurements, giving insight into important aspects of your health. MetaScan Quadscan also helps me to monitor your cellular health and fluid distribution in response to your individually designed health program.
What Options Are Available?
A MetaScan Quadscan can be performed either as a stand-alone test (this is a great option if you already have your health where you feel it should be, and you just want an insight into your muscle, fat, hydration & cellular health status). Alternatively, MetaScan is now included as part of most in-person Initial Assessments and Follow-Up Appointments to help give us extra information into where your underlying issues lie, so that they can be addressed.
Do I need to prepare anything before the appointment?
In preparation for your Scan
avoid any large meals within 2-3 hours before the scan
only consume up to 250mL of liquid in the 60 minutes prior
avoid excessive exercise within 2-4 hours beforehand
avoid wearing stockings or short skirts for your comfort
empty your bladder immediately before your appointment
Following these guidelines will keep your MetaScan results consistent and accurate.
